Lisa TaylorLisa Taylor, Nutritionist

Nutritionist Lisa Taylor joined Arden Hills Resort Club & Spa in May 2009. Given the important role nutrition plays in overall wellness and fitness levels, she works directly with the certified personal training unit, one-on-one with interested clients, and closely with the on-site food service efforts. In addition, Taylor is involved in a variety of wellness classes and activities at Arden Hills.

From a young age, Taylor has always been intrigued by the powerful role food plays on energy levels, fitness routines and overall wellness. She has nurtured a passion for helping others understand and utilize the power of food and nutrition in an effort to improve their overall health and fitness. Her areas of nutrition focus include menu planning, weight management, cultural nutrition, body cleansing, food service management and nutrition therapy.

Taylor earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Chapman University in 2005. In addition, she is currently studying to earn a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from California State University, Sacramento, which she is expected to complete in Spring 2010.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Taylor is also a writer for Sacramento Health and Fitness Magazine and participates in various CDA (California Dietetics Association) events and seminars. She is ServSafe certified and is a current FAN (Food and Nutrition) member.

Taylor’s other interests include cooking, gardening, endurance horseback riding and traveling.

Heather PryorHeather Pryor

Donna CarlsonDonna Carlson

Donna has been a member and an employee of Arden Hills since 1994. She began her career in fitness in the early years of dance exercise (1982). In 1995 she earned her personal training certification and a year later her spinning certification. Dealing with severe osteo-arthritis that led to a new hip in 2000 has formed her approach to fitness. She has a very conservative and long term approach to fitness.

Philosophy–

  • Get the most out of the muscle with the least amount of joint stress.
  • It is never too late to start an exercise program and it is always too soon to quit.
  • Getting old doesn’t make you physically unfit – being physically unfit will make you old.
  • No one goes to bed at night wishing they hadn’t worked out that day.
  • You don’t find the time – you make the time.

Kylee WosnukKylee Wosnuk
