Progressive Development Program
These classes are designed to develop players from the beginning stages to competitive excellence.
Red Group | Ages 5–8
Wednesdays 3:45–4:30 pm | Friday 4–4:45 pm | Saturday 9–9:45 am
- Foundational Stage
- Once/week: $45/month | Two/week: $90/month | Three/week: $120/month
- 19- to 23-inch racquets and low compression balls are used
- The focus is on hand-eye coordination and the basic forehand and backhand techniques in a fun environment.
- 36-foot courts are used and young players will begin to rally and compete on the mini court.
Orange/Green Group
Tuesday and Thursday 3:30–4:45 pm
- Transitional Stage
- Conditioning Monday and Wednesday 3:30–4 pm
- Fee: $140/month 23- to 25-inch racquets and lower compression orange and green balls are used
- Players in this group are ready to move to a full-size court
- Young players will further develop the basic fundamentals of forehand, backhand, volley, overhead and serve, as well as improving their footwork.
- Players are introduced to rallying and match play
- Fun games and drills
Tournament Players Group
Monday and Wednesday 3:30–5:30 pm | Friday 3:30–4:30 pm
- Competitive Stage
- Conditioning: Monday and Wednesday 5–5:30 pm
- Fee: $170 (Mondays and Wednesdays); $190 (Monday, Wednesday and Friday)
- This class is for competitive junior players who are ready for more intense training.
- Regular or green dot balls are used.
- Players in this group play USTA Novice and Challenger tournaments.
- This group features challenging drills emphasizing footwork, positioning and movement. Players master all the strokes and how to use them properly in match situations.
- Live drills, singles and doubles match play, serving and returning are emphasized.
- Players compete on a regular basis and a suggested tournament calendar is given.
- Video analysis is provided to each player.
Specialized Training Program
Players at this stage of development are ready to choose a specialized training program to best fit their needs.
High Performance Program*
Monday-Friday: 4:30–6:00 pm
- Conditioning Monday and Wednesday: 4–4:30 pm
- Fee: $240/month
- The High Performance Training Program is designed to prepare advanced players for sectional and national competition.
- Players are provided with a suggested tournament schedule and compete in USTA open, Championship and Excellence tournaments.
- We focus on footwork, movement and developing different game styles, patterns of play and strategies.
- Offensive and defensive play is introduced.
- Live drills, singles and doubles play, serving and returning are emphasized.
- Players will begin to develop weapons based on their strength.
- Video analysis is provided to each player.
- Mentorship program is provided to each player.
- “Before school” practice can be arranged.
- Players must try out for this program.
- Includes 2/week fitness training with a Certified Trainer
High School Program | High School Prep
Tuesday and Thursday: 3:30–5:30 pm
- Fee: $170/month | Including Friday Competition $190
- Conditioning 5–5:30 pm
- The High School Program is designed to produce top high school players and team leaders.
- New players are welcome in this program.
- The class will help develop well-rounded players and prepare them to compete in singles and doubles on their high school team.
- Video analysis is provided to each player.
- Includes 2/week fitness training with a Certified Trainer

- Fitness Training: 1/2 hour with personal trainer 2/week

Drop-In Drill Class
Mondays and Wednesdays 6–7 pm | Level: Intermediate
- Fee: Members: $20/class or $90/6 session package | Non-members: $30/class or $150/6 session package.
- Focus on stroke development and footwork drills.
- 10–15 minutes of fun games are played at the end of each class.
- The class is drop-in based and players do not need to be part of the year-round tennis program to participate.
Friday Competition
Friday 3:30–4:30 pm | Fee: $50/month | Drop in Fee: $20/class
- Friday Competition provides an opportunity for players of all levels to improve their
- game through singles and doubles match play.
- Players are matched accordingly to their skill levels.
- Appropriate court sizes and balls are used for different levels.
- Players in the High School Program, Green Group and Orange Group are encouraged to participate.
Round Robin Tournaments | Ages 8–18
Saturday 1 pm | 1/month | Duration: 2–3 hours | Fee: $20 for Members, $25 for resort guests
- Round Robin Tournaments are held once a month on designated Saturdays.
- The purpose of the Round Robin Tournament is to help players improve their match playing skills in a tournament situation.
- Each player will play at least three short matches against different opponents in a 2–3 hour time frame.
- Winners will be awarded trophies and prizes. A ranking ladder will be established based on results.
Arden Hills Tennis Academy
The Professional Junior Program offers complete training for dedicated junior players to prepare for a professional tennis career as well as for Division 1 collegiate tennis. Our integrated program uses high performance European training methods, combined with strength and conditioning, nutrition and sport psychology. We thrive to create a healthy environment for our players where their personal development is just as important as their success on the tennis court. We guide them towards becoming confident and successful adults on and off the court. Our team of experts is dedicated to helping each young player to reach their full potential not only on the tennis court, but also in every aspect of their lives.
Approach and Methodology
We believe in a personalized approach, not one size fits all. Our training program is modified to each player’s specific needs and skills. We identify each player’s strength and limitations and create personalized and unique programs to fit their needs. Our training programs are goal-specific, fully integrated and personalized to help players peak at the right time and to prevent injuries.
