History of the Strength & Conditioning Facility
Arden Hills Strength & Conditioning facility opened on May 3rd 2009 with a ribbon cutting ceremony, plenty of food and a ceremonial first workout called “Two for the Money.” Thirty members participated while another twenty watched as the new equipment was broken in and the tone was set for training to come.
The whole idea of the Strength & Conditioning facility was developed in 2008 by Strength & Conditioning Specialist Robert Linkul. Robert was the Head Personal Trainer with the Arden Hills Fitness Department (2004 to 2009) when he finished his Master’s degree in Sports Science. His goal was to open a facility in which he could train passionate fitness enthusiasts and some of the world’s best athletes.
Robert proposed the idea of turning the back area of the cardio room into a 900-square foot strength and conditioning facility in the fall of 2008. By the spring of 2009 the walls were built, the equipment was installed and the trainers were ready to train.
Since the doors opened, the Strength & Fitness team members have been committed to producing the most efficient, safe and scientific training programs to date. Our coaching staff spends over 20 hours a year on continued education. Education is the key to our success and always will be.
