Strength & Conditioning Classes/Schedule

Sports Specific Strength & Conditioning

Sports specific strength & conditioning classes are offered seasonally as well as year round and focuses on developing athletes of any sport and increasing their sports performance. Athletes become proficient at the Olympic lifts (snatch, clean & jerk) as well as other squats, presses, and pulls to develop explosive power and strength. Plyometrics, running technique drills, and foot speed exercises are emphasis in every class. This is the perfect seasonal or year round program for every athlete competing in any sport.

Adult Tennis Core Strength & Conditioning

Tennis, like all sports, requires a strong and athletic core. The adult tennis core strength & conditioning class increases core strength as well as foot speed, agility, and explosiveness. Proper change-of-direction running mechanics are crucial in having a good tennis game and are developed in each class. Strength training is performed utilizing body weight training (pull ups, push ups, squats, etc.) as well as weight training.

Youth Tennis Core Strength & Conditioning

Youth tennis develops neuromuscular movements critical to any young athlete’s game. These movements are learned and developed while performing foot speed, agility, and explosiveness exercises as well as body weight training and the Olympic lifts. Proper change-of-direction running mechanics are crucial for a beginning athlete to develop at a young age and are taught in each class.

Soccer Strength, Speed, & Conditioning

Arden Hills Strength & Conditioning trains local club soccer teams implementing strength & conditioning programs during their off, pre, and in season schedules. Our staff can host up to 30 soccer players instructing them on proper running, cutting, and sprinting mechanics as well as strength training exercises and conditioning programs.

Women With Weights (WWW)

Women with Weights class focuses on increasing strength without building bulk and changing body composition (decreasing body fat) all while teaching women to perform exercises such as back squats, push press, cleans, kettle bell high pulls, bench press, and many more. Women find extra motivation train side by side other women with common goals. Programs designed and implemented by strength & conditioning specialist Robert Linkul.

High Intensity Training (HIT)

An exciting, safe, up and coming training style as immerged from Special Forces training and morphed into a fitness phenomenon, high intensity training. Get ready to push the limits while performing movements such as thrusters, burpees, pushups, pull ups, dynamic lunges, wall ball shots, kettle bells swings and many more exhaustingly awesome exercises.

Arden Hills Mountaineering

There are many summits out there to be reached, including Mt. Shasta, and there is no better way to prepare for them then to train with amateur mountaineer and strength coach Robert Linkul. Robert personally designed and implemented strength & conditioning programs for Dr. Frank Slachman who reached the summit of Mt. Everest on May 23, 2009. Every spring Robert trains a group of climbers to make an attempt on local mountains including Mt. Tallac, Mt. Shasta, Mt. Rainier, and Mt. Whitney. Robert’s experience on the mountain as well as in the weight room produces efficient training programs to assist any athlete in reaching the summit of their choice.

Power Lifting

Come learn the sport of “power lifting” with power lifter and certified strength & conditioning coach Bryan Boggs. Learn the basics or have a personal program designed to peak you for a power lifting competition of your choice. Bryan’s experience and knowledge in the sport has assisted him in bench pressing over 500 pounds, squatting 600 pounds, and dead lifting 650 pounds. His experience and expertise will help you achieve your personal lifting goals.
