Since its inception in 1954, Arden Hills has strived to embody the literal definition of wellness: “The state of being healthy in body, mind and spirit through a personal commitment to maintain a lifestyle of proper diet, regular exercise and positive daily habits.”
Founded by the late innovator Sherm Chavoor, Arden Hills began as a small, private club focused primarily on the development of world-class swim and tennis programs. With a proud and impressive history of inspiring multiple Olympic medals by athletes who trained at Arden Hills (including Mark Spitz and Debbie Meyer), the breathtakingly beautiful resort continues to focus on swimming and tennis, but has expanded and evolved into an innovative wellness resort focused on nourishing the body and mind through healthy nutrition, top-notch fitness programs, indulgent relaxation amenities and much more.
After an ownership change in 1985, Arden Hills embarked on an aggressive redevelopment effort designed to dramatically expand the scope of its facilities and offerings. In 1998, the resort unveiled a spectacular new Olympic-sized swimming pool, fulfilling a design originally envisioned by Coach Chavoor. In addition to its renowned coaches, trainers and fitness facilities, Arden Hills has earned a reputation over the years as a highly sought-out destination for spectacular weddings and events, upscale overnight accommodations and a multitude of wellness programs–all designed to promote overall wellness of the body and mind.
Today, Arden Hills invites you to be a part of this history and experience the resort’s transformational qualities for yourself. The complete concept of well-being is more than just exercise: it involves what you eat, your environment and your continued education. Once you have surrounded yourself with our lush landscaping, challenged your body to a level you thought you could never achieve, and rejuvenated your mind and body, you will leave Arden Hills realizing your potential for a more fulfilling life.
We invite you to take full advantage of the wellness resort experience and our rich history at Arden Hills, where “all is well.”
