Atlas Open Event
On Sunday, September 12th, 2010 Arden Hills Strength & Conditioning will be hosting its second annual Atlas Open Weightlifting Competition. Local talent, including Arden Hills member Audrey Reed and Strength & Conditioning Coach Chris Kirkwood, will be competing along with many other Sacramento native athletes. The Olympic lifts consist of the Snatch and the Clean and Jerk where competitors get three attempts to lift as much weight as possible in each lift. Just like you would see on television during the Summer Olympics, these athletes will be displaying their talent as they hoist as much as twice their body weight over their heads.
