Lacking Motivation?
Whether it is for business development, continuing a workout regime, eating healthy, or spending more time for you, we could all use a little motivation at times. So what is motivation?
It’s the desire to achieve a goal and having the energy it takes to get there. Easier said than done, right? What most people lack is not the goal itself, but the action that is required! So stop thinking about your goals, or how you plan to get there, and just start moving!
Surround yourself with motivated people
Their energy and action will rub off on you. For example, go to the gym; no excuses. Once you are there you will feel the energy and motivation of others that surround you.
Improve at least one think every day
Answer every phone call that comes in, choose the right entrée at lunch, take the stairs. Train your mind to do the right thing.
Get support

See a nutritionist; they are there to provide you with the tools needed and to hold you accountable. The support system doesn’t stop with the paperwork. Need motivation to step up your workout routine? Get a personal trainer, and even if you are taking the lessons on a regular basis, you will see them in the gym and they will notice when you’re there or not. One you make that personal connection with a trainer, get to the gym; give them a high fine at the beginning and end of your workouts.
Celebrate your wins
There is nothing better than working hard and getting recognition for it. Treat yourself to something special when that big deal comes your way, you lose that pound, or you get the house cleaned. You will be much more likely to continue your progess when you see and celebrate the results from your new found motivation.
Don’t wait until you are at rock bottom. Most changes come from people who “just can’t take it anymore.” A mountain looks much more daunting from the bottom than it doesn from the middle. If you wait and just think about your goals and what you need to accomplish, you arejust moving further and further down the mountain. That is why so many people struggle with procrastination. A little bit each day goes a long way.
