Workout Wednesday Tip: Keep a Food Journal

By Arden Hills

Life’s hectic scheduling often contributes to many of us eating on the run.  Eating while in the car, office or at a restaurant can lead to a misunderstanding of what and how much we are actually consuming.  In order to be conscious of your daily caloric intake, it is recommended to write down everything you eat and drink, including the quantity.  Keeping a food journal does not have to be a chore or time consuming, and you can personalize it depending on your goals. The food journal will make you aware of what you eat and drink, and perhaps will encourage you to think twice before grabbing that handful of chocolate from your co-worker’s candy bowl!
